To bridge the gap between the Multi Purpose Vehicles (MPV) and SUVs, Kia India has introduced the Carens Clavis for the Indian automobile market.

The Carens Clavis offers 6 and 7-seater comfort to consumers and is equipped with autonomous ADAS Level 2 features and 18 advanced features, including an anti-lock braking system and electronic stability control.

“We have tried to bring it very close to SUVs. This is the intersection of MPV and SUVs, it continues to have the functionality of what the existing car has, but now it has become much bolder. There are a lot of new features which was earlier missing, including panoramic sunroof, panoramic display, and ADAS. We have got all the features and made big changes both internally and externally. To summarise, it is much more technology-oriented,” said Hardeep Singh Brar, Kia India National Head Sales and Marketing, to businessline.

Customers can book their vehicles from May 9.

With the launch, the company is anticipating gaining 1 per cent market share in CY2025.

“In CY2024, we sold close to 2,50,000 units. This year we are planning to sell 3,00,000 units. We are close to a 6 per cent market share and are aiming to gain 1 per cent share this year. By the end of CY2025, we will have a 7 per cent market share.”
